Only a quick drive from the Venice area, Englewood Beach offers a great opportunity to straddle both the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful Lemon Bay. Don’t think you have seen it all just because you have experienced the beautiful beaches of Venice! Take the time to travel down to Charlotte County’s well-kept Englewood Beach, with recently renovated brick sidewalks, new restrooms, volleyball courts, basketball courts and beautiful landscaping to accent the coastal view.

The best part about Englewood Beach is that it sits out on Manasota Key, away from the rest of the mainland. This makes for quick access from the town of Englewood, but it remains far enough away that the beach won’t be too crowded and the view is spectacular. Be warned that Englewood Beach is undoubtedly the most popular beach in the Englewood/Manasota Key area, but with three other options of beaches on the Manasota Key island, Englewood Beach still leaves room to spread out with plenty of space to set up an umbrella, towels and any other provisions you might bring to enjoy the day in the sun.

Another new amenity added to the Englewood Beach upon recent renovations is a 900-foot boardwalk with plenty of benches, covered lookouts and water stations. Take time away from relaxing on the beautiful clear white sand to stroll along the boardwalk or enjoy an evening sunset.

The best part about spending the day at popular Englewood Beach is sticking around to enjoy a sunset at one of the many waterfront restaurants nearby the beach park. Lock and Key Pub and Restaurant and Mad Sam’s Restaurant are favorites of locals and frequent visitors alike. To reach Englewood Beach, take SR 776 south and then west from Venice, and then turn left onto Beach Road. You will find Englewood Beach right in front of you.
