The good, the bad

This house has so much potential for a home away from home vacation get away. Unfortunately, obviously the owners don?t feel it is necessary to spend the money.
Let?s start with the good, rooms are a nice size, screened patio area very nice, two car garage is a plus, kitchen well stocked, liked having a grill, location is great close to everything. Now the bad, sheets were like sandpaper. Luckily, I had a friend that lives in a condo close, she provided me with nice cotton sheets. She also let me use a topper for the master bedroom bed, never been on a bed that hard. For safety reasons I purchased several rugs to cover the tile floor. Had to cover living room furniture with sheets, very soiled. As I arrived the first day it was clear an inspection of the house had not been completed prior to my arrival. The pool was dirty, as well as the deck area which was covered with dog hair. Not sure what the $195 cleaning charge covers! I felt if there had been a checklist on the counter to be completed with condition of the house upon my arrival I would have felt both parties upon departure would have been covered for liability issues. Also needed upon arrival is a list with general information such as; pool cleaning day, garbage day with information on recycle bins, cable listing of channels, VM for the phone, and checkout expectations. The yard desperately needs some attention, not much grass in the back or front, everything needs to be trimmed, and I encountered large spiders in the pool cage area. After I made a call they came over and sprayed, once again if there were routine inspections of this property as well as routine maintenance inspections conducted these types calls would not be necessary. a relaxing vacation

We just spent a month at the Flamingo house. The weather was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the screened-in lanai and heated pool. Our 2 dogs were very happy being able to lay on the lanai and watch the lizards and squirrels as well as having a fenced in yard to explore.
We were a little disappointed in the quality of the furniture. Although the seating was comfortable, the upholstery was somewhat soiled and the king bed was so firm it was not the most comfortable. When we first got there the sulphur smell in the water was overwhelming but it either got better or we got used to it because by the end of the month it wasn't too noticeable. The location was very residential and quiet, just a few minute car ride to the ferry for the South Venice Beach. Parking was never a problem at the ferry or the beaches in Venice. Overall it was a great vacation and we would recommend this property for any one with a dog that wants to spend some time in Venice. this house could be a great rental if it was updated...owner should put some money in this property with paint, new furniture,garbage disposal and do something about the shower between the two bedrooms, you have to let the water run at least 3 to 4 minutes before it gets warm enough to shower...kevin is great....

It was very clean, water in the pool too cool for enjoyment, should of been up higher. Location was ok, just too much street traffic and noise. Close to beaches and shopping. Our month in venice

We stayed at the Flamingo House for the month of October.We had another couple along with our two dogs.The back yard was great, the dogs loved it ,especially when the squirrel came to visit. Too bad the orange tree was empty except for one orange.
The inside of the house was very clean and we liked the lay out. We had a problem with the water softner.I called Kevin and the next morning the water company was there to fix it.We all enjoyed the pool especially my wife, she was in at least twice every day. The one area that could use a cleaning is the sides and the roof of the pool,otherwise every thing was very acceptable. We enjoyed our visit to Venice and would not hesitate to return. strike 2 was the right one!

We first had made a reservation for a house that was on venice island. But when we got there, the property was not as we had expected. Bad odors of humidity and one of the main bedroom was right by the furnace room. The pictures that we had seen prior
to booking showed nothing that could have prepare us for the deception. There was even a cigarette flotting in the pool! But above all the air conditionner was not working properly. We had specific need in that sens so it was really important for us. M. Kevin was very helpfull and really tried to accomodate us. We felt that our concern were taking very seriously and that he had a real will to have us enjoy our vacation. He proposed us to move to another house that happened to be available. We were pleased with this new location. the property was above our expectations. with a large fenced yard for our dogs and a private pool surounded by vegetation that made it even more private. We loved it so much that we even extentended our stay for en extra week. We will definitely go back to venice and will use vacation rentalpro again. Thank you for such plesant stay. Just one litle thing. The net in the lanai was falling, the one in the door. that gave an easy access to bugs sometime in the evening. It would be nice to have that fix for the next guest. My stay in South Venice

The property at 540 Flamigo Rd. was nice.....We were disappointed when we first opened the door and saw the carpet being worn and dull.....but the other rooms made up for the carpet by being very nice ....the layout of rooms and pool with the enclosed laina was very nice ....the fenced in yard was very nice for our dog to run free....I would like to suggest better instructions or information being made available about the home...such as garbageday & information about the ferryboat to S.Venice Beach which we didn't know about for the first 2 weeks of our stay...The available Beach is very nice ....we enjoyed our stay and the area....

CHRISTMAS IN VENICE

We were staying in 540 Flamingo house. It was fairly a decent place for a crew like ours. House is located in a very quiet area not far from shopping center. House is spacious and comfortable although it is not a very high standard, average, I would say. Pool was nice and warm besides the fact that it needed a few days and help of maintenance guys to get it work properly. Generally we had a very good time and I can honestly recommend VR Pros services for my friends.
