Our White Sand Beach House sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the Matanzas River in the old resort colony of Summer Haven. Boasting beautiful ocean views from decks, lanais, and many windows, it combines old beach house charm with modern convenience.

With a lovely salmon-and-white exterior evoking clapboard homes of the past, White Sand Beach House looks directly onto the beach in front and the river in back. Watch the sun rise (and dolphins cavort) at dawn over the ocean, and the sun set (and birds wheel by) at evening. The views are absolutely unbelievable! And you can enjoy them from wraparound decks, sundecks, screened porches -- you'll have such fun exploring all the unique spaces in this house.

Inside, White Sand retains the feel of a beloved old home, yet contains modern fittings and furnishings. The dominant color is seafoam, from the huge living room to the bedrooms. Light and airy, this shade lends a vintage feel to the home, assisted by hardwood floors and white wicker accents.

The living room is laid back and welcoming, with ultra-comfortable beige leather sofas, a fireplace, and an entertainment center boasting a TV, VCR, and DVD player. Multiple doors lead out to decks and porches. It's the kind of space you immediately feel at home in, and you may find yourself settling down to gaze out at the ocean without even unpacking. You're home!

Between the living room and the kitchen is a sun-filled dining area with a big table and great ocean views. This is clearly Family Central, the nerve center for everything from the laptop (you have free wireless Internet at White Sand) to heated games of Go Fish. Station the camera and binoculars here; there will always be someone around to grab them when exciting things occur!

The kitchen at White Sand is thoroughly modern, with big windows over the sink and all the space you need for food and drink. You'll find everything here to prepare and serve meals, plus time-savers such as a microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and blender. You may mostly be packing picnics for the beach or carrying snacks out to the decks, but everything you need is here -- just add the groceries!

When it's time to retire for the night, rest easy in the spacious, beautiful bedrooms at White Sand. The master suite is airy and bright, with an ultra-comfortable queen-size bed, TV, and access to a private balcony. And of course the ocean is visible right outside the windows!

The master bath is simply luxurious, boasting a Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and his-and-her vanities. You'll never want to leave!

The second and third bedrooms are blissfully restful as well. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed and TV, plus a comfy couch and lovely ocean views. The third has a double bed. If you need to sleep a couple more people, one of the couches in the living room converts to a bed for 2.

The second bathroom at White Sand has both a tub and shower option. And all of the linens you need are provided here, as well as the towels, blankets, and pillows, not to mention a washer and dryer to keep everything fresh. Pack light and come as you are; we've got you covered!

White Sand is in Summer Haven, an historical area that is quickly vanishing. It's very close to Fort Matanzas, and is just 15 minutes from St. Augustine, the oldest city in the nation.
