Ahoy, maties! Welcome to Pirates' Paradise, our big beach house perched on the point where the ocean meets the St. Augustine Harbor inlet. Amazing views, abundant wildlife, and easy access to sightseeing and fine dining all make this a great place to stay.

Pirates' Paradise sits in a natural Eden of waterfront beauty called Porpoise Point (and you will see plenty of playful dolphins!) where pelicans glide by in long stately lines, shore birds call, and even the occasional manatee swims past. From here you can see the historic St. Augustine Lighthouse and Anastasia Island. The landscape here is simply unforgettable!

You can tell at a glance that Pirates' Paradise was designed for large families and lots of fun. The sparkling frontyard pool has a sturdy safety fence around it, and plenty of sunbathing space. There's an outdoor shower, so the sand stays outdoors. Big wide balconies on the second and third stories offer plenty of room for the whole gang to toast the moonlight and gaze at ocean views during the day. An elevator makes getting up and down each level easy and quick. And the furnishings are very comfortable, with luxury in mind.

The first place you'll fall in love with is the master suite, occupying much of the third storey. It looks like a penthouse, with banks of floor-to-ceiling windows, a private oceanfront balcony, and an en-suite bathroom. A king-sized bed, HDTV, and full wet bar occupy this room, while the sun-splashed bath contains dual vanities, a soaking tub, walk-in shower, a separate area for the commode, and sliding glass doors to the patio. This is your sanctuary, a restful retreat after adventure-filled days.

The third floor contains three more bedrooms and two additional full bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms each contain two twin beds. The biggest of the remaining bedrooms, which doubles as a play area, contains 2 single beds, each with a trundle, along with a game table and terrific views of the dunes and water. The third floor offers a quiet sanctuary for guests to rest and relax away from the activity on the main floor or to just enjoy some great views while winding down from the day’s events.

The second floor of Pirates' Paradise contains an additional large bedroom with king size bed and full bath., a centrally located half bath, and the living, dining, kitchen and laundry areas. Beautifully designed and filled with sunlight, this is a cheerful and busy place, ideal for your large group. Up to 4 more people will sleep well on the 2 convertible sofa beds in the living room.

The living area spans the entire front of our house, with multiple glass doors leading out to the long porch. Natural vegetation is all that stands between you and the water here, and you will love lazing away an afternoon in one of the rockers on the porch, watching boats float by and birds dip in and out of the underbrush. The murmur of the surf and the tang of salt in the balmy air are intoxicating!

When it's time to come inside, enjoy a movie on our HDTV with DVD player, get up a family game on the large game table, or enjoy an evening of reminiscences. Our furniture divides the room into 2 separate areas.No matter where you sit, you have an amazing view.

You will love the well-stocked kitchen at Pirates' Paradise, with a central island and glasstop stove We have both a formal dining table and a breakfast nook for your meals, but you may find yourself slipping out to the porch to dine al fresco. Who can resist such views?

Yet despite its uncrowded lands' end location, Pirates' Paradise is also very convenient to historic downtown St. Augustine, and is within walking distance of a brand new (Jan 2012) supermarket, the Vilano Beach pier (with great fishing and watercraft rentals) and several superb local restaurants. It's the best of both worlds, and your greatest problem while staying here will be trying to explore all the fantastic places around you!
