St Augustine Conched Out Beach House

Direct beachfront, with your own private, windy path to the shore. Awake each morning and pad down a sandy walkway with a fresh cup of coffee in hand. Drop on to the white sand beach, still in your PJs if you like, and watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean.

This is a wonderful beach bungalow - good decks, open beam ceilings, nice fireplace, winding path through low dunes out to the beach. It's on a very beautiful part of Crescent Beach, in a great neighborhood on a quiet street. The ocean views continue within. You can contemplate the horizon while at home reading, eating lunch or watching a movie with your family. Leave the windows open so you can enjoy the ocean breezes.

Quirky nautical motifs dot this comfortable beach cottage. A true family spot, there are all sorts of corners and nooks for spontaneous games, conversations - even dance parties? Comfortable and soft furnishings include sofas, wicker dining chairs and outside patio seating - all of which further your total relaxtion.

The living room and great room are the focus of the house. With sliding glass doors going out to the decks and porch, these rooms are bathed in sunlight and views of the ocean. A welcoming hearth and fireplace in the living room provide a reassuring sense of home (and make Conched Out a perfect choice for winter rentals). Great natural light is helped with two reading lamps above the sofa and glass-topped coffee and side tables are perfect for holding a cold drink or two. Beamed cathedral ceilings meet in the middle of the ground floor, where a large dining table is a perfect dinnertime venue. Seating for ten is shared between the kitchen and dining area, and even more if necessary - oh the holidays and family gatherings we can have here!! Comfortable wicker seats keep six guests seated long past delicious dessert and after dinner drinks. Seat the kids next to you at a smaller breakfast table for four.

Open to the rest of the living and dining space is the modern kitchen. U-shaped, it has not only heaps of prep space, but a breakfast bar as well. An in-built stove with large hood puts your top chef on display as he or she creates dinner for a hungry crowd. A sign above the large kitchen window reads, simply, ‘Fish’. With such great seafood available nearby, it’s a solid suggestion.

The master bedroom is separated from the rest of the house, has a bathroom ensuite and a closet that's large enough to be our 'Harry Potter' closet! A nice king bed, TV and books make this a super comfy oasis of peace and rest. The two guest rooms on this main floor of the house are in the same wing as the kitchen and share a full bath in the hallway. The Turtle Room is in sky blue with a wonderful turtle fabric, a queen bed with a TV tucked away in the closet. The Tiffany Room has a gorgeous old Tiffany lamp over the bed, with mosquito netting, tangerine walls and a cozy wonderful feeling. The kitchen is a perfect working kitchen with everything an easy basketball swivel away from each other.

The three guest bedrooms have queen beds and large windows, not to mention good storage and bedside lighting for vacation reading. They’ll charm child or adult guests alike. Colorful walls in turquoise and tangerine and white wicker furniture are a cosy retreat at night and refreshing by day. Three full bathrooms, finished to a very high standard, add a touch of luxury throughout your stay.

The home’s best feature is its large outdoor oceanfront deck. Dine out here on fresh fish you’ve caught together. A long bench seat is cushioned and comfy - when seated, the ocean horizon remains at eye level. Laundry facilities, a fenced backyard for pets and a two-car garage make this home an absolute no-brainer for your next stress-free family vacation.

There's a laundry room off the garage, and room for two cars in the garage. The back yard is fenced, and the path to the beach is sandy and about 200' long. This is a great place!!
