A lovely, private home set back on a quiet side road, our Sante Joseph Palm House is a real retreat. Half a dozen palm trees and other trees beside fully obscure the property from sight - once inside, it’s your own little world. It’s packed with Old Florida charm - truly delightful.
Just three blocks to the beach and very close as well to downtown Venice, staying here puts your vacation in pole position. After a day of pool games and beach reading, stroll lazily towards Venice Beach to enjoy the sunset. End up at Venice Pier for evening cocktails - the more grenadine, the better.
An electric heated pool means lots of reasons to stay at home with both family and your pets. It’s heated, for use year-round. Tropical gardens surround the pool and patio. Bright flowers buzz with butterflies as you look on in awe. Inside, keep cool with central air conditioning and ceiling fans while enjoying a DVD in the living room or whipping up a snack in the large kitchen. Past guests love the spotless condition in which the kitchen is kept.
Dine together at night in the formal living room - a change of pace from the many poolside barbecues you’re sure to enjoy. An outdoor lanai, a screened-in living room, is the very definition of comfort. Look out over the pool while enjoying some iced tea and a book in the shade. The house sleeps ten guests in four bedrooms.
Wireless Internet keeps laptop users constantly connected to the world outside - though you might soon decide to ignore it completely. Located on Venice Island, there’s plenty to do within walking distance that will entertain all ages and interests. In-suite laundry facilities keep the focus of your vacation on enjoyment and off chores, allowing you to return home without the stress of laundry before returning to school and work.
In the master bedroom enjoy a comfortable queen-sized bed and brand new furniture. Roomy storage and wall closets, found in every bedroom, are very convenient. No matter how long your stay it’s always nice to fully unpack. The bedrooms are all particularly large compared to other nearby homes - great if you prefer that extra bit of space.
Guests in bedroom two have a queen bed as well, and furniture of a similarly high quality. Twin beds add flexibility to bedroom three, while the fourth bedroom has a single bed with trundle underneath - great for children. To accommodate larger groups, there’s also a day bed in the family room and a sleeper sofa in the living room. These sleep two guests each.
Verizon Fiber Optics TV mean you’ll never miss a favorite show or sports game - and wireless Internet is an absolute must-have as well. A dishwasher and garbage disposal offer the necessary conveniences of home.

We have stayed in this house 2 times before, have always loved it and never had any issues or problems. We enjoyed our trip this summer, however, the bikes, chairs, and other beach gear that had always been there in the past was no longer there. The storage room has now been converted to a 4th bedroom, which is nice but a shed in the back could easily be used for storage of the 'fun' stuff. The beach gear available at the house was limited to 1 beach chair and 1 shark tooth shovel. Fortunately, we have friends that live on the island so we were able to borrow the things that should be available to you in a beach house rental...kind of disappointing those things are no longer provided. Also, when we arrived the trash had not been put out for pickup so by the time trash day rolled around the can was quite heavy. The trash guy refused to pick it up because it weighed over 40 lbs(it had become rain-soaked). I called the property manager and he apologized and said he would have it picked up. However, 3 days later as we were leaving the can was still curbside untouched. Would still recommend this house but I think next time we may consider a different Rentalo property on the island.

We had a great time at the Sante Joseph home. Great house, great location, close to the beach and not too far from the general stores (Publix, etc...). The house is spacious and the privacy is great. The only negative pointsduring our stay were: first, we found some used bandages glued around the edge of the pool and some cigarette buds who hadn't got removed. One day, the air conditioning was not working anymore, the manager took care of it in less than 24 hours. The maintenance around the house was also great. Some company will come every monday to mow the lawn and take care of the garden. Another company will come and take care of the swimming pool every week too. Very well organized! Overall this house is great and we will absolutely consider renting it again.

We really enjoyed this property the location was great. Nice quiet street. We were thrilled that the pool area had a safety fence so we could still enjoy the lanai without having to worry about our 2 year old falling in the pool. We did find that the house needs a little TLC. The bathrooms need redo's. The queen beds in the front two bedrooms are very soft and uncomfortable (banana hammock). We also found the landscaping of the property in need of some work. Overall our stay was great and we look forward to our visit next year!

The location is fantastic. We found the accommodations more limited than anticipated. The property manager was quite helpful.

While the pool was smaller than anticipated, the grandkids made full use of it. I was a bit disappointed in the sleeping accommodations - they were more limited than anticipated. We managed with 10 people (the advertised capacity), but had to call for a cot, which was quickly forthcoming along with linens. The next time we would plan for 12 people in order to be comfortable with 10. The 3-block walk to the beach was exactly as advertised, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the beach. This was our first time in Venice and we plan to return.

We had perfect vacation this time! Location just perfect for our stay, so close to Bradenton dog beach, which is better than we expected. Neighborhood is very quiet, it's nice to sit on evenings outside by the pool, and be able to relax. And important thing, house was very clean, kitchen- spotless! We are looking to visit again. We had a great time at the house. We found the accommadations quite comfortable and in good repair unlike a previous stay at another house in the area where the AC was out for 2 days in 90+ degree heat. The pool was great and the location after we got to know the neighborhood was great also. We liked the location for not only the convenience but also the peace and quiet! The only suggestion is a couple of fans in the pool area. That will made the property perfect!

Could use a door to the back through the kitchen instead of the bedrooms. We found that a bit awkward in the evenings. Venice is beautiful and we will definitely be back. My friend and I were extremely pleased with our stay at Sante Joseph. Although it is an old Florida house, it was certainly clean and well kept. Within minutes of our arrival, the property manager was knocking on our door to see if we needed anything. I also loved the art work. I have stayed in many rental properties over the years and this was the first time ever that it was supplied with enough hangers with some to spare!!! You do good work. This was a very pleasant experience for my husband and I. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of staying in a house rather then a crowded motel room for a week. The biggest decision we had to make all week, was where we would have dinner each evening. Thank you for a great week in Venice. The property was a little more dated then shown in pictures but overall was fine.
