The beachfront Summerhouse condominium complex is located right beside historic Fort Matanzas (now part of a state park), between the beautiful Atlantic Ocean to the east and the dreamy marshland of the Intracoastal Waterway to the west. This means that we experience magnificent sunrises and sunsets every day at Summerhouse 218, not to mention exotic sea and shore birds and splendid marine life from dolphins to manatees! The focal point of Summerhouse 218 is the balcony, with its lovely view of the oceanfront swimming pool, greenery, and path down to the white sands of Crescent Beach. There are 4 pools at our complex, all heated, in addition to tennis courts, racquetball and shuffleboard, a gym, playground, clubhouse with game rooms, and more. You'll find something to interest all ages and abilities here, without even leaving the grounds!

The balcony is a great place to sit with a glass of wine in the twilight, update your Facebook status on the phone (you have free wireless Internet at Summerhouse 218), or linger over snacks and great conversation with the group. The tangy salt breeze, the balmy air, and the murmur of the surf make the perfect backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment. You'll find yourself slipping away to the balcony at all hours of day and night, just to savor the feeling of being oceanfront in St. Augustine!

When it's time to come indoors, the blue-and-white décor of our open-plan living and dining area will remind you of the sea. The new carpet is soft and fluffy -- perfect for the kids to flop down on with their toys as their parents watch a movie on TV. An ultra-comfy recliner takes pride of place in the living room, while the long couch is ideal for naps. And it unfolds into a bed for 2 with ocean views!

Just beyond the living area is our dining room, with a long, polished wood table that doubles as a game center (no fair looking at your opponent's cards in the mirror!). It's so convenient to the serving hatch of the kitchen, where fresh bowls of popcorn and frosty beverages keep the fun going. And the cook gets a peep directly out to the ocean through this hatch -- definitely the best way to get dinner on the table with a smile!

Our kitchen is well-appointed and spotlessly clean, with wood laminate counters, gleaming white appliances, and plenty of cookware, dishes, and utensils for all your cooking and serving needs. Whether you're going to fish for your dinner, dine at St. Augustine's fantastic restaurants, or prepare homecooked meals, you've got everything you need here. Make a quick grocery run on your way into town, and you're all fixed up!

A half-bath serves the living and dining area, while upstairs two bedrooms and two full baths ensure that everyone gets a great night's sleep in peace and quiet. The master suite is a delight, featuring a king-sized bed and TV in addition to fabulous ocean views. Attached is the master bath, with a walk-in shower.

The second bedroom contains 2 twin-sized beds, a TV, and a big sunny window, and is convenient to the second full bathroom. There is plenty of space here for everyone to spread out their stuff and make themselves comfortable.
