Description for Paul's Paradise Paul’s Paradise, a 2-bedroom, 1-story cabin, is only 5 minutes from Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Resort. That’s great news for skiers, of course—but even if you don’t plan to hit the slopes you’ll love staying here. In fact, if you stay in the summer you’ll have free access to 3 nearby pool areas. And any time of year you can enjoy the hot tub, the pool table, and the woodlands surrounding the cabin.

With both a wide front porch and equally expansive back decks, Paul’s Paradise makes it easy for you to enjoy the sights and sounds of mountain living. Start your morning on the porch’s glider with a cup of coffee while listening to sparrows greet the day; admire the sunset while dining at the deck’s patio table; wind down before bed with a moonlight soak in the deck’s hot tub.

Even while you’re indoors you can take in the gorgeous views. The billiard room, for instance, is lined with large windows; along with the gas fireplace and the plush seating, they make the room an inviting place to hang out even when you’re not shooting pool. Likewise, when you sit at the log-style table amid the numerous windows of the cabin’s dining nook, you’ll almost feel as if you’re enjoying your meal alfresco.

Both bedrooms enable you to wake up to sunshine and drift asleep while listening to the lullabies of owls, thanks to their generous windows and French doors that open directly onto the porch. And that’s only one fabulous feature of the bedrooms! Each wood-planked room also boasts a log-frame king-size bed beneath its vaulted ceiling, a TV, a ceiling fan (perfect for lulling you to sleep!), and lamps flanking the bed, so that one of you can stay up reading while the other goes to sleep.

Each bedroom has its own private bathroom as well. The main element differentiating the master suite from the other: Its bathroom includes a jetted tub. When you arrive at Paul’s Paradise, you’ll find plenty of clean towels and both beds perfectly made up, so if you want to start your vacation with a nap or a shower, go right ahead!

The living room is as spacious, comfortable, and inviting as the rest of Paul’s Paradise. The large sofa and roomy armchairs beckon you to sink back and settle in—you might never want to get back up! You can keep yourself entertained watching a movie on the TV with cable and a Blu-ray player, surfing the web via the free WiFi, or cozying up by the gas fireplace with a good book.

Even the galley-style kitchen is roomy—several of you can cook together, which makes the task much more fun. You’ll find all the appliances, pots, pans, and tableware you could need. For a true Smoky Mountain feast, cook up some trout (perhaps fish you reeled in yourself from one of the nearby streams!) on the outdoor charcoal grill—we’re getting hungry just thinking about it!

Because Paul’s Paradise is part of Gatlinburg’s Chalet Village community, when you stay in the summer you can enjoy its 3 pool areas. Along with numerous swimming pools for adults and kids (and of course, poolside patios for drying off in the sun), these areas offer tennis courts, ping pong, foosball, and more—and you’ll have free access to them all.

There’s plenty more to do just minutes away from the cabin. We already mentioned Ober Gatlinburg, but Paul’s Paradise is also close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which you can explore by foot, car, bike, or horseback. The many attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, which range from an aquarium to mini golf, are nearby too, as is the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of galleries, studios, and shops.

When you stay at Paul’s Paradise, you’ll never be bored, regardless of when you visit or what you like to do. Experience its pleasures for yourself: Book your stay today!

Guest Rating for Paul's Paradise
Great location. Great cabin. Great access.
Loved everything about the cabin, location, and vacation!
Beautiful! Relaxing! Quiet! Peaceful!
Comfortable and Spacious
Plenty of room here inside and on porches to spread out and relax. Secluded yet minutes away from top attractions. Enjoyed by the whole family!
We had the most wonderful rental experience. Our property was perfect and only once we needed to call for extra towels* and they were delivered immediately. Everyone we worked with was so very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks to you all! *Need more trash bags in unit and more towels. We stayed for a week and because there is no washer/dryer available, towels are a must.
Cabin was nice.
Cooking was kind of difficult due to the poor quality and condition of pans. TV remotes laying around everywhere. Most of them didn’t work anything. Very confusing.
Perfect relaxing hideaway cabin
I came to relax and this place was perfect. Very clean and away from the tourists down the road!
Great house and a great location
Great size for a small family or two couples. Nice open lay out on one floor. Great location, but I'm sure the roads could be a little too winding in the winter. But we did enjoy riding the ober tram into town. Very private. We even had a bear walk right through the back yard.
Beautiful and spacious
We had a a GREAT time at Paul's Paradise. The cabin was beautifully decorated. The pool table and hot tub were nice extras! It would have been nice to have a washer and dryer available. We got to watch a mother bear and her 2 cubs playing from the front porch. We have 2 children that were quite happy with the wifi access! We will likely come again...maybe during the fall season.
Very well kept and neat cabin. Beatuiful layout of the cabin
Really enjoyed relaxing in the evening. Great having breakfast on the porch. Great experience.
Great Mountain Retreat
A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but yet be a short drive away from all of the action. The cabin is very clean and roomy. Check in and check out were a breeze.  We did get to see a mother bear and her 2 cubs on the first morning and another bear later in the week. That was great fun, but it did keep us out of the hot tub after dark so that they couldn't sneak up on us! We had a lot of rain during the week. There was a really heavy down pour on Friday and the roof leaked over the dining area. We could also tell it was getting between the tin and the plywood as it was coming out on the siding between the front door and the master bedroom door. We put out a few pots and pans and dried everything up after the heavy rain was gone. The kitchen is stocked with cooking pots and pans but not at all with baking pans, so if you plan on baking - bring your own cake pans/cookie sheets. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy your unique vacation hideaway, we had a lot of fun!
Mountain vacation
Paul's Paradise is a beautiful cabin on a very high mountain in Gatlinburg. The weather was a little warm so we didn't have to worry about ice or snow on the roads, but could see where that might be challenging in the winter. The house was very nice, clean and extremely large for a 2 bedroom cabin. One down side for my family was that my brother is 6'8" tall and the tub/shower unit in the 2nd bedroom was extremely difficult for him to maneuver around in. Also, we really missed not having a washer/dryer. But, all in all, I would definitely recommend this vacation rental for a get away. It is extemely nice! I have used VRBO many times and this is the first time I did not deal with the owner. I think I would much rather deal with the owner than a rental agency in the future.
Exactly as the picture shows.
We did stay in the cabin long because we explore the town, but it was nice and clean. The only thing I didn't like was the 1000 am check out time. Everywhere else I stayed has been 1100
Enjoyed our stay very much, clean quiet! Other than the unexpected weather and ice, which caused an accident. The rental company was very supportive and worked with us on our departure. We will gladly book again
