Description for Pirate's Paradise Ahoy, maties! Welcome to Pirates' Paradise, our big beach house perched on the point where the ocean meets the St. Augustine Harbor inlet. Amazing views, abundant wildlife, and easy access to sightseeing and fine dining all make this a great place to stay. Note: one-week minimum stay requires Saturday arrival

Pirates' Paradise sits in a natural Eden of water front beauty called Porpoise Point (and you will see plenty of playful dolphins!) where pelicans glide by in long stately lines, shore birds call, and even the occasional manatee swims past. From here you can see the historic St. Augustine Lighthouse and Anastasia Island. The landscape here is simply unforgettable!

You can tell at a glance that Pirates' Paradise was designed for large families and lots of fun. The sparkling small pool has a sturdy safety fence around it, and plenty of sunbathing space. There's an outdoor shower, so the sand stays outdoors. Big wide balconies on the first and second floors offer plenty of room for the whole gang to toast the moonlight and gaze at ocean views during the day. An elevator makes getting up and down each level easy and quick. And the furnishings are very comfortable, with luxury in mind.

The first place you'll fall in love with is the master suite, occupying much of the second floor. It looks like a penthouse, with banks of floor-to-ceiling windows, a private oceanfront balcony, and an en-suite bathroom. A king-sized bed, HDTV, and full wet bar occupy this room, while the sun-splashed bath contains dual vanities, a soaking tub, walk-in shower, a separate area for the commode, and sliding glass doors to the patio. This is your sanctuary, a restful retreat after adventure-filled days.

The second floor also contains three more bedrooms and two additional full bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms each contain two twin beds. The biggest of the remaining bedrooms, which doubles as a play area, contains 2 single beds, each with a trundle and terrific views of the dunes and water. The second floor offers a quiet sanctuary for guests to rest and relax away from the activity on the main floor or to just enjoy some great views while winding down from the day’s events.

The first floor of Pirates' Paradise contains an additional large bedroom with king size bed and full bath., a centrally located half bath, and the living, dining, kitchen, and laundry areas. Beautifully designed and filled with sunlight, this is a cheerful and busy place, ideal for your large group. Up to two more people will sleep well on the convertible sofa bed in the living room.

The living area spans the entire front of our house, with multiple glass doors leading out to the long porch. Natural vegetation is all that stands between you and the water here, and you will love lazing away an afternoon in one of the rockers on the porch, watching boats float by and birds dip in and out of the underbrush. The murmur of the surf and the tang of salt in the balmy air are intoxicating!

When it's time to come inside, enjoy a movie on our HDTV with DVD player, play a card game, or enjoy an evening of reminiscences. Our furniture divides the room into two separate areas. No matter where you sit, you have an amazing view.

You will love the well-stocked kitchen at Pirates' Paradise, with a central island and glass top stove We have both a formal dining table and a breakfast nook for your meals, but you may find yourself slipping out to the porch to dine al fresco. Who can resist such views?

Yet despite its uncrowded lands' end location, Pirates' Paradise is also very convenient to historic downtown St. Augustine, and is within walking distance of a brand new supermarket, the Vilano Beach pier (with great fishing and watercraft rentals) and several superb local restaurants. It's the best of both worlds, and your greatest problem while staying here will be trying to explore all the fantastic places around you!

Pirates' Paradise is a unique house, perfectly situated for maximum enjoyment of the incredible natural beauty of Vilano Beach.

Guest Rating for Pirate's Paradise
Had a great time.
The house was nice and clean. We basically had our own private beach on the inlet side. The pool was small but there was a small rip tide pool cut in on the inlet beach and it was incredible. Lots to see and do. My 6, 7, and 10 yr olds even loved the sight seeing.
Instructions for tv’s were not available. Not enough towel racks in bathrooms.
Well furnished and comfortable. Loved the view and accessibility to beach. Swimming pool was great for grandchildren. Elevator a big plus. Would love to rent again next summer.
Beautiful home on the beach
Loved spending time with my family in this lovely home in St Augustine. Plenty of space for everyone. Loved the rocking chairs on the balcony. Only downside was the tractors dredging on the beach the whole time we were there.
Awesome location and accommodation
House was top notch. Beautiful inside and out
Absolutely fabulous house!
This is an absolutely fabulous house, approximately 3200 square feet. There were 10 of us--6 adults and four kids ages 8-12--and we all loved absolutely every minute of our week there, June 9-16, 2018. The beach was a lot closer than it looked in the photos. I think that's because the photos could have been taken with a camera lens that realtors use to make rooms look larger. I'm going to comment on a few things that might help you before you go to Pirate's Paradise. Unless you ride the elevator, you will have about 20 steps up to the house. Bring extra kitchen towels, dish rags, and potholders. There were 3 of each, and we needed more than that before we could get the provided ones washed. You'll also need dishwashing detergent (there's a tiny bottle of Palmolive provided), and dishwasher detergent (enough for 3 loads provided). Bring better trash bags. The 3-4 provided were somewhat flimsy and leaked. Each person is only given one bath towel, one bath washrag, and one hand towel for the week. So unless you want to wash towels twice a day, you might want to bring some of your own. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, etc. There were 10 of us, and there were enough dishes provided that we could eat two meals before we needed to wash dishes. Also plenty of dinner glasses, juice glasses, and coffee mugs. There was also a hand mixer, strainer for pasta, plenty of pots all sizes for cooking. We couldn't always find a lid that fit a certain pot, but it was no problem. There was nothing like Rubbermaid or Tupperware to store leftover food in. Don't forget to bring Ziploc bags. There was no electric can opener, but we found a small manual one in one of the drawers. As for the ice maker, it doesn't work. Hopefully the owners will address that and get it fixed. However, you might want to plan to buy ice or bring several ice trays. There were 4-5 silicone ice trays provided, but they were for very small cubes. And when you go to use the dishwasher, be assured that the detergent compartment in the dishwasher door will close, but not easily. You have to finesse it and shut it slowly. Also, unless they have replaced the dishwasher, don't expect all the dishes to get clean. Inspect them before putting them up.  Elevator was a fabulous thing to have. But you MUST read every word of the directions posted on the outside of the elevator door, more than once, to be able to use it. It took two of us, both college graduates lol, close to an hour to figure everything out about the elevator.  There was an outdoor grill. I think the information provided said it was a charcoal grill, but it's gas. The propane tank was empty, and previous users didn't clean it very well. The TV setting for watching TV channels is HDMI2 (I think I remember that correctly). To watch the Blu-Ray player, use HDMI3. Their TV provider is DirecTV. Hope your week is as great as ours was.
clean, comfortable and perfectly located right on the water
House was very clean and recently updated. Nice landscaping and a small pool for lounging around was very nice. Two very large decks provided awesome views of boats going in and out of the inlet and expansive views of the ocean and Anastasia island. We will come back annually.
Great college reunion!
The house was newly and beautifully redecorated and had the best equipped kitchen of any rental I've had. The decking to the ocean was also new, as was the outdoor table and chairs. Only a few minor items, damaged from Hurricane Irma the previous month, were evident, but didn't interfere with our stay. Caution re how the house is advertised... it is NOT a 4 bedroom house. The Master has a sofa bed, as does the den. Neither was comfortable. Some foam mattress toppers would have helped. Only one bedroom downstairs was truly private. The other had a nice double-single bunk in an alcove. All 3 bedrooms had private baths. The 4th bath was in the garage, a little weird, but was useful as there were 11 older women in our group.
Family Beach Vacation
We stayed at Pirate's Paradise last June and had a great time. The house fit us perfectly in that there were 11 of us. It was well maintained and was stocked as needed. It's situated on the beach; however, you do have to cross a road but it's basically a dead end and it had NO traffic. It is also very close to a Publix so shopping was easy. The only negative I have is that the picture of the pool is very misleading. It's very tiny but all-in-all it served it's need for our little one's. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to be at a beach house that's away from all of the hustle and bustle of the usual beach towns.
Soul Of A Pirate
Could be found there, spacious house and conducive for maximum relaxation. Quiet neighborhood and decks were great for watching boats. All guests found it very relaxing with plenty of space to wander and be lazy.
The view is great. The beach is easily accessible. The house is lovely. Plenty of comfortable seating. Love the rockers on the balcony.
Once again, I believe that everything was well maintained, except for the green water in the swimming pool. The house was clean when we arrived and easy to pick up before we left.
Fantastic Venue for Family Vacation
The pictures do not begin to show the beautiful and relaxing views obtained from this vacation rental. Just before sunset we watched the sailing ships come across the bay with the lighthouse in constant view from the front decks.
We had 11 people here including one 5-year old child and one wheelchair bound family member. The elevator is what sold us on this house but the location (a few steps from a beautiful beach) and the roominess were greatly admired and utilized by all.
My only suggestion would be to better stock the disposable amenities for a house this size (trash bags, toilet paper, soap).
This was our first time using VactionRentalPros and I will certainly use them again! Thank you!
Best Christmas Ever
The home has one of the best locations on Vilano Beach. The accommodations are close to perfect, the view is spectacular, and the home is close to restaurants, bars, and a grocery store. We were sad to leave and do want to return.
Birthday Celebration
Everything was as described in the description. We had 11 people staying with us and there were beds for everyone. The WiFi was very reliable.
The view from the master suite was incredible.
We cooked dinner there almost every night. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of dishes and silverware.
We loved it so much, we are planning to come back soon.
Mostly happy with house
Comfortable home, near the beach and close to fun things to do with family.Very disappointed in shower in multi spotted shower curtain bathroom.Handle not functional either you had freezing water or scalding hot water.Elevator was great help and number of rooms were perfect. The people I talked with were nice but it was frustrating I needed to contact them for almost every payment to make sure it was placed on our credit card on time. Also after driving from Ohio it was frustrating to not have been given an updated code so we could access the house. Luckily the maintenance gentleman answered my call and gave us the new code.
Fantastic views fantastic house
Was pleasantly surprised of the conditions of house and surrounding area. The pictures online do no justice to the beauty that exits both the house itself and surrounding views. Simply breathtaking didn't want to leave property to do the tourist thing. I would love to think that my family, friends and I will be back in the future. Simply a magnificent house and location, less then 4 miles from downtown St. Augustine where we had a family wedding. Would highly recommend the property to allow you to hit the refresh button in all of us.
Wedding Week was Wonderful!
In town with lots of family for my niece's destination wedding. We couldn't have asked for a nicer home to rent. Right on the Inlet, breathtaking view. There was plenty of space for everyone, we filled up all 12 beds! Great kitchen, plenty of seating and the pool, while a bit small, we a treat. Seas are often rough here and it was nice to cool off at the pool. Sitting on the rockers on the balcony was a great way to spend our time. If you love fishing on the beach, bring your pole, there's a ton of fish just a few steps from your door. Drive into historic St Augustine is just 10 minutes and there is a brand new Publix Grocery store just 3 blocks away. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful Beach House
Stayed here for a week in September. Everything was so nice. Had family members ranging in age for 1 to 80 and it accommodated everyone perfectly. Great location close to downtown and beautiful beach. This was our 2nd time here and we will definitely come again.
Family Get Together
Excellent location with great ocean and inlet views. The house accommodated the large family group well and was comfortable. The two porches were the best and the pool while quite small was great for the kids.
Family vacation
We had a wonderful time staying in this condo. The location was perfect and everything about the house was great. I have no complaints.
Family vacation
The location and the house were great. Lots of room in the house and just a short walk to the beach. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the ocean. The elevator stopped working the day before we left, but other than that there were no issues with the housel.
Awesome Vacation Rental
We chose this home because of the space and elevator for an ill family member. This was our first stay in the St Augustine area so we did not know what to expect. The house was wonderful. very clean and the view was spectacular. The city was awesome as well. this will be a vacation we will always remember.
A Good Spring Break
This house was wonderful for our "family" Spring Break. The location was ideal for enjoying the beach, yet being close enough to go back and forth to the house. Sunrises on the porch in the morning were beautiful. Ideal setup for multiple family gathering. Enjoyed the pool with grandchildren-once it warmed up a bit:) Contact with property management company was great during the reservation process and received helpful emails, texts msg leading up to our stay. Attempts to contact the company by phone 1-2 weeks prior to stay were unsuccessful. After several unsuccessful attempts I used a maintainance number I found with rental info and "John" went above and beyond to answer my questions, even calling me back with info he wanted to confirm. Our full day of rental brought a service call for an appliance apparently arranged by the owner/property management - no notice given to us until they were enroute. A little inconvenient. Overall a good time
Pirates Paradise Beach House
We were very pleased with the size of the rooms which offered plenty of space for our party of 10 adults. Unfortunately, the rooms desperately needed a fresh coat of paint. Many of the walls were scuffed and marked and needed cleaning as well as painting. I would only recommend the property if these improvements were made.
St. Augustine
We were in St. Augustine for my daughters destination wedding. Family wanted a place to hang out and visit for a few days following the wedding and this was the perfect place. Lots of space - we spent most of our time on the balcony watching beachcombers. A grocery store is around the corner. We were over twelve people, so our overflow spent the nights at the nearby hotel and came over to visit during the day. It was a delightful place for our group.
Nice Family Vacation
The house had plenty of room for a mini family reunion. The elevator was convenient to have. It was conveniently located on the beach, close to a grocery store, and about a 10-15 drive to downtown St. Augustine. The views of the ocean and passing ships and the lighthouse in the distance were beautiful. The part of the beach the house is on was never crowded. The pool was a little smaller than we thought, but it was a good hangout to beat the summer heat. We did agree to allow some maintenance to be done during our stay. It turned out to be more of a construction project and it put a damper on the end of our stay. The whole yard was in disarray, alternate parking wasn't convenient, and the cable/internet was disconnected the last two days of our trip. We would consider staying here again, but not agree to any maintenance during our trip.
tA happy Family stay
Enjoyed the location and house
Suggest a couple of chairside tables and a lounge chair for the porch
More importantly-a railing for exiting the pool safely
Awesome family vacation!
This was the perfect house four our 4 family vacation! We were there for a week and would definitely recommend it. It was exactly as described. The beach was right out front and even though the pool was small we had 10 people in at once! It was very clean and the ac was cold! The whole week was perfect. No problems at all. The elevator was a necessity for our mom with her walker. We could not have had a better time in a better place. Would definitely come back!
A Beautiful Walk on the Beach
The picture of this house does not do it justice. The views are breathtaking and you will find yourself sitting on the beautiful porches every chance you get. It rained part of every day we were there but even that was enjoyable because of the porches. We had first class seats to the spectacular thunder storms.
The pool is small but is big enough for the grandkids to have fun in and big enough to float in. My family found it very enjoyable and kept the little ones entertained for hours when we weren't on the beach or sight seeing.

This was our third summer to stay in a beach house in St. Augustine. This was by far the best maintained house we have stayed in. The rooms are large and we loved the 4 1/2 baths. I would recommended this home to anyone with a large family or large groups.
My only cons was the elevator that was tricky to work, not enough garbage cans for such a large house and the kitchen utensils need to be updated including the knives. More rocking chairs need to be added on the porches.
Overall, we loved to the house and the location is spectacular.
Poker Group Getaway
Ocean breeze and views were delightful.
Perfect Family Retreat
The rental was exactly as promised. We were 5 siblings plus their spouses and our 80 year old mother. There was plenty of space for us all to have our private times yet the central living space was big and comfortable. Watching the action on the beach from the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies was a favorite activity . There was an issue with the elevator on Sunday. It was fixed on Monday.
We used the gas grill several times. The outdoor shower kept the beach sand out of the house. Would definitely come back again.
Everything we were looking for and needed!
Our spread out family gets together for one week out of the year. With 2 daughters and their families in Colorado and 1 in Knoxville, putting together a vacation that works for everyone is quite a process. The accommodations at Pirates Paradise met everyone's needs. We had plenty of family gathering room, great porches with view of family members coming and going from the beach, very convenient to grocery (we found we could walk there quicker than we could drive!)and close in to town. The house was perfect for all we had going on and the management team was easy and pleasant to work with as well as extremely professional and quick to get back to me with answers to questions.
Great Vacation!
We had a great time at Pirates Paradise. The location was great. We enjoyed walking on the beach and sitting on the porch watching the boats go in and out of the port. We had plenty of room for everyone and the elevator was great for my 90+ Mother-in-law. We would come back again!
Family Trip
We enjoyed the size of the property and the location was excellent. A little wear and tear is starting to show but overall a wonderful stay.
Lovely house with exquisite view!
Everything was fine except a shower broke on our first evening, and we had much, much difficulty getting help! When water is running constantly, one needs help immediately, but maintenance was extremely slow in responding. Had my husband not found a tool in his car and finally got the water cut off, it would have run for 24 hours. We realize things like that will happen now and then, but the response should be faster.
Great place for small family reunion!
Wonderful view and perfect beach for our family group. Well-stocked with all essentials. Elevator was an asset. Overall, we agreed with previous guests that beds were uncomfortable. However, mattresses were replaced just in time for one comfortable night.
Marvelous!
The views were spectacular, the tranquility unbelievable and the distance to the Old City extremely convenient.
Great home!
Absolutely loved this house! The views are terrific, the location phenomenal. We had our parent's 65 wedding anniversary reunion at this home. 20 people in terrible weather (everyone had to be indoors) and yet, never did we feel cramped. The 2nd floor main level allowed my dad to never have to take the stairs and the elevator was the BEST! Made loading and unloading easy! Would recommend this home to anyone!
Pirates Paradise - Vacation Paradise
Incredible location. Large, spacious rooms. I must say the master bathroom was my favorite room. Enough room for everyone to have their own space.

Pirates Paradise
Wonderful property and wonderful stay. A few very minor maintenance issues like a couple of inoperable windows and broken closet door but nothing that impacted the quality of our stay. Fantastic that we could bring our little dog along. Would go back any time to this location and this property! Thank you
Pirates Paradise was just that.
We had a great a time and would do it again in a heartbeat. I would recommend this to any one.
Our daughter's wedding
Awesome stay for our daughter's wedding! Loved the house, but the beds are terrible. Very uncomfortable and noisy. Every time you move in any of the beds they are loud. For such a gorgeous house the master bed was the worst. Would stay here again, despite the beds.
Saint Augustine Property
Property was nice overall. Good location. Pool was a little smaller than expected. Property isn't directly on the beach. The beach is across the street. The only problem we had was at checkin. The lockbox was not on the door handle like the instructions said. Instead it was on the railing. There is a lockbox on the door but that must be for a realtor. It took us 20 minutes to find the other lockbox. Wish the instructions were clearer about the location.
it was awesome nice view
we all had tons of fun we were up early every morning for the sun rise the house was perfect 4 us with kids. would have preffered more full sized beds but we made it the beds def. need an upgrade they were not exactly comfy very squeeky but overall we had so much would do it again
Pirates PAradise
It was a great location, nice inside, pool smaller then it looks.
Family in Paradise
Having this as a first time vacation with myself and my two daughters families, this was the perfect spot. The location was incrediable easy access to the beach, saftey was never an issue. The kids could swim on a protected beach and fishing was just wonderful fun for the whole family. We could sit on the decks and watch the fishing boats go out while we were having our A.M. coffee and also watch the Dolphins as they were feeding. The same with the evening, spending time fishing off the beach, sitting on the deck watching the light house beams, swimming in the pool or just listening to the waves hit the beach what a perfect spot. The house was large enough for the 11 of us to not be in each others space but it had a few minor issues that we all overlooked because of how perfect and special our time together was. We were also so close to the grocery store and wonderful sight-seeing. The location was perfect!Would I recommend this propery ? Yes I would, would I go back? In a heartbeat!
Wilson Family Vacation
The swimming pool was deceiving. It was more the size of a large hot tub as opposed to a regular swimming pool. The beach area was not as nice as other beaches along the Florida coast. It had much more broken and ground up shelss as opposed to pure white sand.

You can't get a better view than you can from the master bedroom on the 2nd floor. It was awesome at night seeing the lighthouse and beautiful in the morning seeing the boats traveling out of the inlet. The location near the Publix grocery store is very handy.

Finally, it is a great house for spending family time as the kitchen opens up into the dining area and living space. Great place for family time and fun. Also, there was plenty of parking.

Overall it isi a great location/property with only an average beach facility/walk (long walk to the beach. Perhaps a little over-priced, but a nice place to vaaction.
Great stay
Beautiful location. A lot of fun things to do nearby. Proximity to grocery store and restaurants a plus. Could use a few more amenities in the kitchen such as utensils and bowls and pots but overall a great property. Very comfortable and great views.
Notes to you
very good experience and even the weather was wonderful - warm and breezy.
We left a kitchen pan and lid. May we stop by to retrieve it?
Small repairs needed - refrigerator leaked, lights out in two bathrooms, dishwasher is dismal - difficult to start.
We'd come again and recommend to others.
great location, needs a little attention
Great location. Wi fi didn't work until last day. Needs lighting in parking area. Missing many light bulbs. Floors were filthy upon arrival. Ceiling fan didn't work. Dishwasher difficult to work. Would be nice if there would have been beach chairs, toys, etc.
