It's two houses in one! Just a short distance away from the Plaza, this beautiful 2-story home has separate living spaces upstairs and down, including dual kitchens and a private entrance, making it ideal for large groups!
Plaza Splendor is a lovingly decorated and immaculately maintained New Pueblo-style house with a private courtyard and fascinating artwork in almost every room. Here you will find the
best of old and new Santa Fe style, chosen for beauty and arranged for comfort. From high-speed wireless to HDTVs with DirecTV and DVD players, the best contemporary electronics are available to you here. But there are also fine New Mexico artifacts, kiva fireplaces and viga ceilings, woven cotton rugs, and much more from the traditional Santa Fe decor. You will love how it all works together harmoniously!
At Plaza Splendor, your group has the choice of staying together or establishing two separate living spaces. The upstairs of this house contains 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, a big living area, a full kitchen, separate dining room, and even a cozy office space. The downstairs -- accessible by a private entrance as well as through the interior stairs -- also has a living room, kitchen, and dining area, as well as one more bedroom and bath. There are even two sets of washers and dryers -- one on each floor! -- to accommodate all those vacation clothes. And one of the sofas opens into a queen-sized bed for two more guests. Everyone will find the perfect spot for a great night's sleep at Plaza Splendor!
And the living rooms are large enough to reunite the whole party. Each has a kiva fireplace, adding a cozy note to the handsome furnishings. Upstairs, leather couches, smooth tile floors, and an ornate viga ceiling create a lodge-like feel to the room. Downstairs, huge wall-mounted flat-screen promises to entertain the troops. It's wonderful to have two options for your group to relax after a long day sightseeing or skiing. Let the teenagers take over one room while the grown-ups reminisce in the other, or solve the problem of dueling sports and movie broadcasts by playing both! There's also plenty of floor space for kids to sprawl out with Legos and games, and quiet nooks for the readers to cuddle up with their Kindle.
No matter how many of Santa Fe's fine restaurants you try on this vacation, your gang will return home hungry and thirsty (is it the mountain air?!), so be sure to pick up some groceries on your way into town and stock the two kitchens at Plaza Splendor. Of course, the famous Farmer's Market is bursting with fresh produce, baked goods, and tempting pick-up snacks, but you will want to lay in some provisions for those nights that begin with plans to go back out and end with endless rounds of Apples to Apples or binge-watching a favorite show. No matter what your culinary needs, both kitchens at Plaza Splendor have full-sized appliances, countertop time- savers (coffeemaker, microwave, toaster, and more), and many cupboards full of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and just about anything else you could wish to prepare and serve a feast.
The breakfast bar at the upstairs kitchen offers another space for work and play. Kids love these high bistro seats, and you will appreciate the dropped lighting that makes it easier to read, work puzzles, and do your journaling. Of course, for group meals, family meetings, and marathon card games, there are dining tables on both floors of Plaza Splendor . . . which means you can spread out a jigsaw puzzle or set up all the laptops and tablets on one without sacrificing your dining space!
Plaza Splendor sleeps 8 very comfortably, and with 3 bathrooms, there's no waiting in line when everyone gets up at the same time in the morning. The master bedroom upstairs offers a luxurious king-sized bed, while the other two bedrooms have very comfortable queen beds. All linens are provided for every bed, as well as all towels for the 3 full baths. This is a big family home: we have spare pillows, blankets, and more. Whether the night is chilly or the kids simply want to build a blanket fort, Plaza Splendor's got you covered!
And the group doesn't have to confine itself to indoor recreation. Plaza Splendor offers a large courtyard, with both covered and uncovered areas to allow for all kinds of weather, and even a fire pit! The fireplace on the covered porch is great for crisp evenings when you need a glass of wine and time to review the highlights of your day in Santa Fe. And the fire pit in the backyard is where the whole gang will gather to tell ghost stories and count the stars as they emerge. Explore the garden in this beautiful walled property, bring your early-morning cup of coffee out here and listen to the birds sing, and get ready for another glorious day in northern New Mexico!
Plaza Splendor is designed for your comfort and pleasure. It's just 3 blocks off the Plaza, so all of historic Santa Fe is at your feet. Yet as you enjoy the quiet beauty of this home, you may feel delightfully removed from the bustle of a big city. When you stay at Plaza Splendor, you get the best of both worlds, in a space that can accommodate your big party perfectly! Book this popular house early, and begin looking forward to the best Santa Fe vacation of your life.
