Viva Casita North’s adobe walls, beamed ceiling and brick floors envelop you in the Pueblo Revival style that Santa Fe is known for. The living area’s kiva fireplace is especially welcome on brisk winter evenings. After a day of skiing or snowshoeing, you can warm yourself up with hot chocolate or a hot toddy alongside its golden glow. The dining table is next to it, perfect for romantic dinners for two.
Also in the living area are a sofa and a pair of marvelously comfortable armchairs. Snuggle with your sweetheart as you watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with satellite channels, kick back with your laptop to surf the web via the free Wi-Fi or settle in with that exciting book you never have time for back home. The couch, by the way, opens into a twin bed, so that Viva Casita North can sleep up to four people.
Just off the living area is Viva Casita North’s fully equipped kitchen. Whether it’s a blender to whip up late-night margaritas, a microwave to reheat restaurant leftovers or an oven to cook a Thanksgiving turkey, you’ll find it here, along with pots, pans, gadgets and tableware. And the spectacular tiles of the counters and backsplash, along with the view of the backyard through the oversize windows, make meal prep a pleasure.
With its restful color scheme and lofty queen-size bed, Viva Casita North’s bedroom is certain to encourage sweet dreams. And you’ll find plenty of storage in the closet and dresser, though if you want to pack light, you can: The house has its own washer and dryer.
Like the kitchen, the bathroom features stunning Southwestern-style tilework. There’s also generous storage for all your toiletries. When you arrive at Viva Casita North, you’ll find the bed impeccably made up, all the freshly laundered towels you’ll need and extra bedding. If you want to start your vacation with a nap or a shower, you can.
Chances are good, though, that you’ll want to head outdoors and unwind on the spacious rear patio, which is furnished with a bistro table and chairs. Start your day with coffee amid the rosy sunrise then end your evening gazing up at the star-studded sky and savoring the crisp breezes rustling through the trees that surround the backyard.
When you do opt to leave the serenity and comfort of Viva Casita North, you’ll find plenty to see and do nearby. In addition to walking to the museums just down the road—the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art and the Museum of International Folk Art—you can drive to the historical attractions of Santa Fe Plaza or the galleries, restaurants and bars of the Railyard in minutes. Want to immerse yourself in nature’s grandeur? Both the Atalaya Mountain Trail and the Randall Davey Audubon Center are less than 15 minutes away.
It’s impossible to be anything but relaxed, well rested, and utterly content when you stay at Viva Casita North. Book your stay today, before somebody else beats you to it!
